Responsibilities
* Developing and executing strategic initiatives to enhance store performance and profitability by continually challenging our current ways of working. We value new ideas and encourage Store Managers to foster this culture in their stores.
* Listening and responding to customers and colleagues, ensuring their experience is at the heart of all decisions.
* Cultivate a high-performance culture through talent development, succession planning, and supportive leadership.
* Work with Head Office teams to ensure the best high-street availability, helping make Morrisons a one-stop shopping destination.
* Build and manage relationships with the local community and market the store so it stands out as a pillar in the community.
* Resolve challenges and build trust within the store team.
* Set clear objectives linked to each department that align with Morrisons priorities and engage the team with shared goals.
* Create a culture that fosters collaboration and values diverse opinions and beliefs.
Qualifications
* Experience managing a store in a fast-paced food retail environment.
* Strong leadership skills, including coaching and providing feedback for aligned ways of working.
* Passion for spotting and developing talent and creating a successful team culture.
* Ability to resolve challenges and build trust between team members.
* Broad thinking and willingness to accept opinions, beliefs, and behaviours different from your own.
