This full-semester contract opportunity is ideal for an Occupational Therapist experienced in diverse settings including home health, healthcare, teletherapy, and school environments. Serving a K-12 school in Wakefield, RI, this role focuses on delivering specialized occupational therapy services on a part-time basis throughout the academic year, beginning in September and continuing through the end of the school year (with the possibility of extending into Extended School Year sessions if needed).
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide skilled occupational therapy services to students across grades K-12.
* Collaborate with educators, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
* Utilize teletherapy methods effectively where appropriate to support student progress.
* Conduct evaluations, document therapy sessions, and track student outes.
* Participate in team meetings to ensure cohesive support services.
Qualifications:
* Valid Occupational Therapist license.
* Experience in home health, healthcare, school-based therapy, and teletherapy.
* Strong knowledge of K-12 educational settings and student developmental needs.
* Ability to work effectively one day per week throughout the full semester.
* Excellent munication and organizational skills.
Location: Wakefield, Rhode Island
Schedule: One day per week, September through end of school year (with potential ESY extension)
