We are looking for General Catering Assistant to work within Wrekin college prep.
The role will be based at a superb location.
Your responsibilities will include :
* Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to students and staff
* Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment adhering to food safety standards
* Help with washing up cleaning equipment and general kitchen duties
* Support the catering team in setting up and clearing dining areas
* Assist with food storage and stock rotation
* Follow recipes and portion control guidelines
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
* Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing peeling and chopping ingredients
* Contribute to menu planning and suggest improvements when appropriate
* Assist with special dietary requirements and allergen management
* Participate in team meetings and training sessions
* Maintain accurate records as required by the school and regulatory bodies
* Assist with catering for school events and functions when needed
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen and dining areas
* Provide excellent customer service to students staff and visitors
The successful candidate will be reliable hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
