About the School This mixed community special school supports students aged 1119 with a wide range of SEN, including complex, profound, and multiple learning difficulties. Role Overview As a SEN Teaching Assistant supporting KS3 and KS4 students with complex needs, you will help both the educational and emotional development of pupils. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver personalised learning programs tailored to each students unique needs. Key Responsibilities Personalised Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with complex needs, including Autism, ADHD, and other learning challenges. Encouraging Participation: Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment to motivate student engagement. Behaviour Management: Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviours and promote positive interactions. Collaborative Planning: Support teachers in adapting lesson plans to meet individual learning objectives. Progress Monitoring: Track student development and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Personal Care Assistance: Support students with personal care needs while encouraging independence. What Were Looking For Minimum of one years experience working with children with SEN and complex needs. Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or Equivalent) Registered on the DBS update service. Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Empathy, patience, and a passion for supporting children with complex SEN.
