We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. Responsibilities
* Assist in overseeing daily operations to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
* Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service standards.
* Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and ensure proper food production practices are followed.
* Collaborate with the management team to develop menus and enhance culinary offerings.
* Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff.
* Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
* Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing labour costs effectively.
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food safety practices.
* Culinary experience that demonstrates creativity and passion for the culinary arts.
* Knowledge of serving techniques and customer service excellence.
* Familiarity with kitchen operations, including equipment maintenance and cleanliness standards.
* Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is advantageous but not essential.
