NEBOSH Diploma or minimum NVQ 3 in Occupational Safety and Health
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or general certificate
On-site experience in a Civil Engineering/Ground-Works environment (Vital)
Experience in Environmental Management in a construction environment (Desirable)
Hold a current UK Driving Licence with your own vehicle
Suitable PC Skills using Microsoft Office software/TeamsResponsibilities:
Complete site inspections/audits and make recommendations to resolve issues
Provide advice to managers, site foremen, and staff
Liaise with the client, their H&S Staff, and other H&S staff (e.g., HSE)
Conduct Tool Box Talks and other necessary training
Complete company inductions and associated documentation
Investigate accidents and incidents and write suitable reports
Attend Health & Safety, site, and other relevant meetings
Assist in drafting, developing, and implementing policies and proceduresQualities Required:
Understanding of groundworks construction methods, materials, and technology
Excellent understanding of Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Risk management, legislation, and industry standards
Reasonable understanding and application of administrative processes for Principal Contractor, Contractor, Temporary Works, and New Roads and Streetworks activities
Familiarity with the requirements of major house builders groups
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC skills
Conscientious, hard-working, able to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to get along with people
Self-motivation, personal drive, and ability to analyze effectively
Resilience and assertiveness
Willingness and ability to travel within a 50-mile radius of Oxford
