We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our dynamic and collaborative neuroscience lab, specializing in ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) research. Our lab utilises induced pluripotent stem cell-derived motor neurons (iPS-MN) to functionally validate genetic drivers of ALS.
As a Research Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting PhD students and Postdocs with experiments and contributing to the maintenance and characterization of iPSC-derived neuronal models. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful research, co-author publications, and attend conferences. Responsibilities
* Support PhD students and Postdocs with experiments.
* Assist in the maintenance and characterization of iPSC-derived neuronal models (iPSC-derived motor neurons).
* Contribute to daily lab operations and manage cell cultures.
* Perform essential techniques including immunofluorescence, Western blotting, and qPCR.
* Collaborate with a productive team and contribute to publications and conferences.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Highly motivated candidate with interest in neuroscience and ALS research.
* Experience or familiarity with cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques is desirable.
