Are you an experienced Bid Manager or Senior Bid Writer ready to lead winning bids and inspire a growing team?
We’re looking for a strategic, creative, and detail-driven professional to manage the full bid lifecycle and deliver high-quality, compliant submissions that help us secure exciting new projects.
You’ll lead a talented team of 2 Bid Writers and a Bid Executive, driving best practice, collaborating across departments, and ensuring we consistently deliver stand-out, client-focused bids.
What You'll Do :
* Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing bid team
* Deliver high-quality, compliant, and timely bid submissions
* Design and implement winning bid strategies
* Manage the bid pipeline and collaborate with Business Development & Operations
* Build strong internal and external relationships to support success
* Drive process improvements and ensure consistency and compliance
* Track win/loss rates, analyse feedback, and improve performance
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is both a natural leader and a strategic thinker – someone who thrives on collaboration but isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get hands-on when needed.
You should bring:
* Proven experience managing the full bid lifecycle in the construction or social housing sector
* Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and develop a team
* Extensive knowledge of UK procurement regulations and processes
* Experience creating, developing and managing robust bid processes with strong governance
* Excellent writing, communication and stakeholder management skills
* High levels of organisation, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
* A proactive approach, with a knack for spotting opportunities and improving processes
* Willingness to occasionally work flexible hours when needed for deadlines or client engagements
* A full, clean UK driving licence
Qualifications
* Degree-level education or equivalent
* Relevant professional qualifications
* Previous tender/proposal writing experience
