My client is a specialist in sustainable packaging solutions, with a commitment to reducing waste and supporting eco-friendly manufacturing, we’re investing in new technology, new talent, and new ideas.
Now, we’re looking for an experienced Tool Maker with strong CNC/CAM programming skills to join their small, skilled team. If you’re hands-on, detail-focused, and looking for a role where your craftsmanship truly matters, we’d love to speak with you.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Manufacture, modify, and repair thermoforming tooling and high-precision components.
* Program CNC machines using Fusion360 or SolidCAM.
* Work from CAD models and technical drawings to produce tooling to tight tolerances.
* Operate CNC and manual milling, turning, and grinding machinery.
* Collaborate daily with in-house designers and production teams.
* Support new product development with bespoke tooling work.
* Maintain stock of cutters, taps, drills, and other consumables.
What We’re Looking For
* Time-served Tool Maker or equivalent (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Engineering).
* Strong CNC/CAM programming background (Fusion360, SolidCAM, Fanuc, Heidenhain preferred).
* Confident working from CAD drawings and 3D models.
* Skilled in both new tool production and tool maintenance.
* Experience with manual handling and lifting equipment (tools up to 200kg).
* Previous experience in thermoforming, injection moulding, or precision tooling is a strong advantage.
* Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility for overtime.
