CULTA is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team in Cambridge, MD. The technician will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and performing minor repairs on HVACR, plumbing, and electrical systems. They will perform preventative maintenance tasks under the supervision of the Risk and Facilities Manager.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensure all tasks are performed efficiently, correctly, and in accordance with SOPs.
* Maintain compliance throughout the facility and keep maintenance logs up to date.
* Coordinate with contractors for necessary tasks to keep facilities and equipment in proper working order.
* Engage in hands-on work involving system monitoring, inspections, repairs, and referrals to contractors when necessary.
* Perform preventative maintenance on HVACR and Water Management systems, including coil cleaning, filter changes, and drain maintenance.
* Maintain an adequate parts inventory and order supplies as needed.
* Assist with equipment relocations, office moves, and janitorial duties as required.
* Utilize or learn computer software for system maintenance, including Microsoft Office and specialized programs for climate control and fertigation systems.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
* High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
* 2–4 years of facility maintenance experience.
* Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and work on raised platforms.
* Lift 50 lbs or more regularly.
* Ability to work onsite.
* Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to follow directions.
* Knowledge of mechanics and basic functions of irrigation and climate control systems (lighting, HVAC, CO2, etc.).
* Attention to detail and decisive reasoning skills.
* Must qualify as a registered agent with the State Commission and have no violent or drug-related felony convictions.
