The Opportunity This is a technical leadership role within Technology Services’ Investment Platforms team. You’ll develop solution architectures and high‑level designs for investment‑focused technology, collaborating across geographies and partnering closely with Investments and Investment Operations to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, robust and aligned to our technology standards, vision and roadmap. You’ll have the opportunity to: Deliver high‑quality solution architectures and designs that are fit for purpose, aligned to enterprise reference models, standards and roadmaps. Collaborate with engineers and business analysts to translate designs into working solutions; maintain technical oversight during delivery. Facilitate technology decisions that accelerate adoption of new technologies in a controlled, rapidly changing environment; present solutions at governance forums. Partner with Strategy & Architecture to define, maintain and reuse implementation patterns; promote best‑practice reviews, quality and documentation. Nurture stakeholder relationships (internal and strategic third parties); proactively communicate issues and escalations. Support testing alignment to requirements and design; assist with lifecycle management activities. Provide technical leadership—coaching and mentoring—to uplift solution delivery capability across Investment Platforms. Operate within our governance and risk frameworks, ensuring compliance with policies and standards. What You’ll Bring You’re an experienced architect who thrives in a fast‑paced, global environment—curious, collaborative and clear in your communication. To excel in this role, you’ll need: Experience: Extensive experience in technology design/engineering within Financial Services/Wealth Management; experience in solution architecture and design. Domain understanding: Front, Middle and Back Office processes; ability to bridge business and technology. Exposure to portfolio management (e.g., Aladdin, iLevel, Calypso), execution management (e.g., Bloomberg EMS, FXAll, TradeWeb) and investment data platforms (e.g., Finbourne, GoldenSource, Eagle). Data & Cloud: Investments data and modern data warehousing concepts; strong knowledge of cloud (preferably Azure). Technical depth: Azure PaaS, SQL Server, REST, API gateway architectures, Power Platform, Azure Data Platform, Python; DevOps including CI/CD; Atlassian (Jira/Confluence). Ways of working: Proven Agile delivery mindset; poise under pressure; vendor management within hybrid operating environments; experience in global, matrixed teams. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science (mandatory); TOGAF or equivalent architectural certification (desired); postgraduate study in Finance/Commerce/Economics (desired). Highly desirable: Innovative, growth mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; commercially astute. Experience in regulated environments with sound governance awareness. Why Join Us?
