Building Surveyor – Westney Consulting Group
Location: Southampton, England, United Kingdom
Join Westney Consulting Group as a Building Surveyor on a minimum 12‑month contract with the possibility of extensions. This public sector role is inside IR35.
Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of minor works projects to address damp, mould and condensation issues in properties.
* Conduct DRI surveys.
* Ensure CDM Compliance.
* Manage Health & Safety.
* Program, finance and deliver projects.
* Schedule and allocate resources as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum HNC-level in Building Surveying or significant equivalent experience.
* Strong knowledge of Building Pathology, specialising in Damp and Mould.
* Familiar with legislation such as Building Regulations, Control of Asbestos, H&S, Disrepair.
* Ability to write concise, accurate reports and contracts.
* Manage budgets and deliver work programmes.
* Fit and healthy to access awkward places, climb ladders and scaffolding; own vehicle and driving licence.
Pay & Benefits
* £23.70 per hour PAYE or £29.96 per hour Umbrella.
* Contract minimum 12 months, with extensions.
* Inside IR35.
