About The Role: Room Attendant, Hotel Du Vin
Rate of Pay: £12.50 / 0 Hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Birmingham
Working as part of the Housekeeping team you will ensure all guest bedrooms within the hotel are cleaned on a daily basis to the highest of standards. You will have an eye for detail and naturally high standards to meet our guests expectations of a perfect night’s stay.
Hotel du Vin provides a range of luxury and boutique hotels in 18 landmark locations around the United Kingdom. Synonymous with style and hospitality, Hotel du Vin offers exquisite accommodation with a relaxing atmosphere throughout our chain of hotels along with sumptuous food and wine in our trademark Hotel du Vin Bistros.
Working as a Room Attendant you will be interacting with our Guests so conversational English is essential, as is the ability to work on your own for periods of time. You will be a vital cog in the Hotel Du Vin machine ensuring all bedrooms are clean and tidy for our guests arrival and continued stays.
Responsibilities
* Clean guest bedrooms on a daily basis to a high standard
* Maintain a high level of personal and room cleanliness and presentation
* Interact with guests as appropriate and ensure a positive guest experience
* Work independently for periods of time as required
* Ensure bedrooms are clean and tidy for guest arrivals and ongoing stays
Shifts & Working Hours
Predominantly set shifts, usually between 9am – 3pm, 5 days out of 7. Shift start times can be flexible between 9am – 10am. If desired, earlier start times can be discussed at interview as well as flexible contracts or just weekend work.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Conversational English essential for guest interaction
* Ability to work on your own for periods of time
* Positive attitude and desire to make a difference within the hotel
* Level of fitness appropriate for a housekeeping role
* Full training in the use of chemicals and equipment will be provided
* Experience in a similar role isn’t required
Development & Apprenticeships
We actively encourage internal development and progression. Hotel Du Vin is on target to have 100 new apprentices in the business by year end. Candidates for this position would be given the opportunity to enroll on our apprenticeship scheme after they have completed their probationary period.
