Experienced Mental Health Social Worker, Adult Social Care, Permanent, Full Time (37 hours).
Salary Range £38,626 - £42,708
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker with a passion for working in mental health, with post-qualification experience, or social workers who have successfully completed the ASYE Programme to join Northumberland County Council Adults, Ageing & Wellbeing Directorate.
The current opportunity is available in our newly established Intensive Social Work Mental Health Team, which works alongside our AMHP and inpatient team. The team supports individuals with serious mental illness, providing a countywide approach with intensive and assertive outreach support tailored to this client group and their families. The ethos of our model promotes joined-up continuity of care and shared responsibility with key stakeholders to manage risk and prevent further deterioration in mental health, addressing wider social determinants of mental health.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, benefiting from a good balance of autonomy and support. You will manage your caseload daily but will receive regular supervision and full support from your Team Manager.
It is essential that you have a clear understanding of the Mental Health Act, S117, the Care Act, and the statutory duties of local authorities.

Essential requirements:
* Degree in Social Work (or equivalent), with registration with Social Work England, and successful completion of the ASYE programme.
* Valid driving licence and access to a car for work purposes are essential due to the role's nature.
