A bit about the role…

Reporting to the Senior National Account Manager, this role is responsible for delivering the retail strategy & go-to-market plans via designated Retail Channel accounts, driving sales, profit, and good causes in a responsible manner. The role involves leading account planning, building relationships across multiple retailer departments, managing stakeholders, and deploying our transformation plan, possibly including direct management of an NAE. The NAM will collaborate closely with the SNAM and contribute to the division strategy.


What you’ll be doing…

* Build and lead commercial proposals/JBPs for accounts with leadership alignment.
* Deliver sales and good causes targets for major retailers with high turnover/complexity.
* Support the SNAM with strategic thinking and deputise when necessary.
* Develop and implement sales, revenue, and engagement programmes within your retailers.
* Strategic planning for retailer activation, including new licensing and transformation projects.
* Build external stakeholder networks across retail channels.
* Provide market insights to inform TNL plans.
* Understand retailer operations and generate insights for strategic activities.
* Lead key projects, managing stakeholders.
* Manage retailer-specific budgets and ensure process compliance.
* Coordinate with retailer teams for plan implementation.
* Develop communication plans to maintain key business metrics.
* Analyse performance data to identify growth opportunities.
* Identify product development and placement opportunities.
* Deliver Responsible Play objectives with retailers.
* Ensure terminals and ways to play are available during trading hours.
* Lead account transitions and changes.
* If managing a team, coach and motivate direct reports.


What experience we’re looking for…

Essential Criteria

* Proven account management experience within FMCG or retail, managing major retailers with high turnover, from planning to delivery of JBPs/CBPs.
* Understanding of retailer needs, strategies, and operations, aligning internal plans with retailer objectives.
* Knowledge of the retail environment and channel-specific nuances.
* Negotiation experience with major customers or third parties.
* Financial and business performance analysis skills.
* Excellent communication skills, including report writing.
* Knowledge of competitors and market landscape.
* Confident presentation skills.
* Proficiency with reporting tools like BI/Qlik.
* Cross-functional project management experience.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
