THE ROLE We are looking for a HGV Driver/Loader to work as part of our Pilkington Salford team, with particular responsibility for delivering products to customers in accordance with our safety, quality and efficiency standards. Working hours are 40 hours per week, from 6am – 3pm Monday to Friday. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Ensuring all glass is delivered in a suitable condition and in a timely manner to the intended destination. Maintaining a professional appearance at all times in both presence and driving style. Maintaining high standards to the delivery vehicle Adhering to despatch schedules and be willing to make changes at short notice in order to meet customer requirements. Maintaining work records as per Company and legislative requirements, including delivery paperwork and tachographs Involvement in process improvement teams as required. Providing cover for other areas of the business (including loading vehicles) as and when required. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Good time keeping, with ability to meet strict deadlines Glass handling experience preferable but not essential.
