About the Role We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flat Bed Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining flat bed laser cutting machines to produce high-quality components in line with technical drawings and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities Set up and operate flat bed laser cutting machines (e.g., CNC laser cutters)
Interpret and work from engineering drawings, CAD files, and job specifications
Load and unload raw materials (sheet metal, stainless steel, aluminium, etc.)
Adjust machine settings to ensure precision cutting and optimal performance
Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of equipment
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances
Monitor production output and report any issues or defects
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health & safety regulations
Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams
Requirements Proven experience operating flat bed laser machines (e.g., Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada)
Strong understanding of CNC machinery and laser cutting processes
Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings xxuwjjq
Familiarity with different metals and material properties
Good attention to detail and quality control
Basic computer skills (for machine interface and job tracking)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills Experience with CAD/CAM software
Forklift or overhead crane license
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
