The role:
Proteintech is experiencing rapid growth in Europe and is now recruiting for a field-based Account Manager in London, UK.
You will report directly to the Commercial Director as part of an excellent team; you will have real responsibility and gain exposure to multiple facets of the business.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers to grow long-term and effective business relationships.
* Pro-actively search and connect with new prospects.
* Provide feedback to Marketing and Product development on customer and competitor activities.
* Actively liaise with institution procurement departments to facilitate ease of purchase.
* Responsible for meeting and exceeding annual revenue targets.
* Report on sales and business development targets.
Requirements:
* 2-3 years experience in life science/biotech sales is preferable.
* Must be educated to Degree or Masters level in a life science discipline.
* Independent, driven and able to work on own initiative.
* High level of professional communication skills and the confidence to interact with scientists at all levels.
* Prepared to travel extensively up to 80% of time (predominantly within territory).
* Strong time management and organizational skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
