Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Musculoskeletal Therapy Outpatient team at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. You will work alongside physiotherapists and therapy assistants to provide musculoskeletal rehabilitation for adults with a variety of conditions. The post includes a pathway to progression and required training as part of the apprenticeship.
Conditional progression to a Band 3 post is possible upon completion of Level 3 Senior Health Care Support Worker Apprentice within 27 months of commencing and subject to informal interview. All Advanced Apprentice Therapy Assistants will complete an induction programme and the Care Certificate on starting in the role. You will be expected to achieve an Advanced Level 3 Senior Health Care Support Worker qualification within 27 months, which includes attending Doncaster College for 2 days per month as part of the 20% off-the-job training provided. This is a supervised post with a mentor allocated to support your learning during the apprenticeship. You will work alongside therapists in the management of some shared patients and may complete joint assessments.

Responsibilities
* Work alongside therapists in the management of patient care and contribute to joint assessments where appropriate.
* Provide musculoskeletal rehabilitation to adults with a variety of conditions as part of the outpatient team.
* Document patient information and manage caseloads in accordance with professional and hospital guidelines.
* Utilise Clinical Therapy Information systems for patient details and equipment ordering.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexible and proactive communication and time management.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Aged 18 or over; able to provide certified evidence of all relevant qualifications.
* Must be able to demonstrate good communication, time management, and organisational skills; able to prioritise in a busy environment and work both independently and as part of a team.
* Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions and show initiative; maintain accurate documentation in patient records.
* Computer skills and the ability to use Clinical Therapy Information systems.
* Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom; where applicable, evidence of visa status and length of stay requirements for course entry (minimum residence requirements may apply).
