Heroics Cafe team as a Junior Sous Chef based at Bicester Heritage, Oxfordshire.
Heroics Cafe takes pride in crafting freshly prepared dishes
using only the finest ingredients, including authentic Italian breads and
pastries sourced from Farina London.
The menu boasts a wide selection of healthy options served
in generous portions to keep customers fuelled throughout the day. Beyond our
delectable daily offerings, Heroics Café extends its services to include event
catering for business meetings and social gatherings.
We offer a variety of grab and go concepts, including
sandwiches and paninis, hot and cold beverages with snacks, hot classic
seasonal dishes as standard and then have a street food calendar throughout the
year.
The
Responsibilities for Junior Sous Chef
* Catering to the needs of business lunches, prepared in the Heroics café and delivered to on site offices.
* Day to day running and responsibility for
menus
* Designing, costing and creating
specifications for menus
* Independent working
* The role will involve working between 2
sites: Headquarters (2 minutes away) and on site at Bicester Heritage.
* Working the Breakfast and lunch service –
sandwiches, salads and hot dishes made to order
* To
manage the kitchen production ensuring quality and consistency every time, in
line with the company guidelines
* To
endeavor to deliver high standards in all areas, including presentation,
taste, food safety and quality of produce
* To
manage and exercise company Food Safety and Health and Safety policies
* To
take a “hands-on” approach in managing, assisting with, monitoring and
overseeing all production, stock and operational kitchen related concerns
* To
control and minimise all kitchen associated costs without detriment to the
business or service
* To
work with the Heroics Café Management team in developing and driving forward the
business
* To
assist other company departments if and where required
The Role Specifications
* Food Hygiene Level 3
* Confident on food safety and HACCAP
requirements
* Strong client and customer interaction
* Great communication skills
* Must have a full, clean driving license
The Role
* 45hrs per week
* Generally, the role is Monday – Friday (7am –
4.30pm)
* Some Weekend work will be required dependent on
business needs (overtime paid for hours over the contracted 45 hours)
