About You
The successful candidates should have a Level 3 in Electrical Installations qualification or above. Experience in Electrical Installations and/or teaching is preferable. Candidates will have a firm understanding of current electrical practice and preferably have extensive industry experience.
The successful applicant will coordinate the effective delivery of the Electrical Installation study programmes across various levels, providing academic leadership for students. They should know how to create an engaging curriculum for learners. Candidates need to keep their skills and knowledge in line with local and national priorities.
The Electrical lecturer will have (Desirable & Essential):
* Must have a Level 3 electrical installation qualification, or NVQ at level 3 (E)
* NICEIC registered (D)
* Maths and English to level 4 CGSE or equivalent (E)
* Assessors Qualification (D)
* Ability to communicate complex issues clearly (E)
* Highly organized with excellent attention to detail (D)
* Experience of motivating and managing the performance of learners (E)
* Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders and manage workload in a challenging environment.
As a Lecturer in Electrical Installation, you will develop and maintain up-to-date industry knowledge, supporting and motivating learners to meet their individual aspirations and goals. You will also coordinate the tracking of learners’ achievements and lead study programmes to attain outstanding achievement and student retention.
We welcome candidates with industry experience, and you will have the opportunity to work towards a teaching qualification. The role will require you to work towards a recognized Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or be willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification upon appointment.
