We’re on the lookout for two friendly, organised, and proactive Breakfast Supervisors to help our guests start their mornings off right! We have two part‑time Breakfast Supervisor opportunities available within our independent Clifton venues: Racks Bar & Kitchen - Breakfast Supervisor 18 hours per week, worked over 4-5 short morning shifts on a rota basis (finishing mid‑morning) Pay: £12.80 per hour plus tips Typical shift timings: starting at approx. 6am (weekdays) or 7am (weekends). You will usually finish by either 10:30am or 11:30am. The Washington Guesthouse - Breakfast Supervisor 25 hours per week, worked over 5 short morning shifts on a rota basis (finishing mid‑morning) Pay: £12.80 per hour plus performance-related bonus (OTE bonus of £1200 per annum, paid monthly) Typical shift timings: starting at approx. 6.30am (weekdays) or 7.30am (weekends). You will usually finish by 11-11:30am. Both roles offer early starts and early finishes - leaving your afternoons and evenings completely free. Perfect for those balancing other commitments such as study, childcare, or another part‑time role. About the Venues: Racks Bar & Kitchen - A Bristol institution loved by locals and visitors alike, Racks is known for its friendly service, hearty breakfasts, and lively atmosphere. Located underneath the Clifton Hotel, Racks serves hotel guests and locals daily, offering a relaxed but professional setting where genuine hospitality shines. The Washington Guesthouse - Just a few doors down the same street as Racks (St Paul’s Road), our much‑loved Washington Guesthouse is one of Clifton’s most established bed and breakfasts, serving up comforting cooked breakfasts and smiles every morning to our loyal guests. You’ll join a small, welcoming team dedicated to making each guest feel at home. What You’ll Be Doing As Breakfast Supervisor: You’ll take the lead in ensuring our morning service runs smoothly from start to finish. Your typical morning might include: Supervising breakfast service and leading a small front‑of‑house team Welcoming and seating guests, taking orders, and overseeing smooth service Supporting and motivating your team to deliver great customer care Checking presentation standards and ensuring all guests leave happy Training and developing new team members Liaising with hotel teams (including reception and kitchen) to keep communication flowing Handling rotas, breakfast checks, and some light admin and ordering tasks At Racks, you’ll focus on front of house service for both hotel and non‑resident guests At The Washington, you’ll be hands‑on with a small mixed team of front‑of‑house and kitchen staff, writing rotas and coordinating with hotel management.
