Job Summary
Join us as a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Product and Planning at our East Cowes manufacturing plants on the Isle of Wight. You'll work across Civil and Defence business lines, providing engineering proficiency to operational and development programs, aiming for zero defect projects. Responsibilities include delivering robust manufacturing process technology related to materials, tooling, and assembly. Flexibility for limited travel and relocation support within the UK are provided.
Job Responsibilities
* Ensure safety-first mindset and compliance with policies.
* Develop manufacturing process solutions for complex problems.
* Implement production planning from concept to production, utilizing Zero Defect Manufacturing tools.
* Manage product development, first article development, and build process definition.
* Develop technical solutions in collaboration with customers and suppliers.
* Support manufacturing process development and integration.
* Use root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce non-conformances.
* Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Implement continuous improvements through Lean initiatives.
* Apply APQP tools for problem solving.
Qualifications and Skills
* HNC or higher in Engineering or related field.
* Experience in Manufacturing Engineering within composites manufacturing.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of quality systems like ISO9000, AS9100.
* Aerospace industry experience.
* Project/Program Management experience.
* Familiarity with APQP process and ERP systems.
* Green Belt Certification.
This role requires UK National Security Vetting (UKNSV) Security clearance, with residency requirements considered.
