Job Title: Private Client Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive
Position: Part Time – Permanent
Lister Langley Solicitors is a niche private practice advising high net‑worth individuals and corporate clients in the area of tax and estate planning. We work closely with a large number of professional intermediaries across the UK and overseas to devise and implement tax and estate planning strategies designed to meet the specific needs of our clients. Our clients are local, national and international.
Due to our strong professional connections, high‑quality client base combined with the increasing volume of work and a desire to expand, we are now seeking a talented, highly motivated and experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to strengthen our team.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant must be able to manage their own caseload which will include wills, lasting powers of attorney, Court of Protection work, the establishment and management of lifetime and will trusts, probate and the administration of estates. Knowledge and experience of advising clients on inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning is essential. The successful candidate will also be required to supervise and support junior members of staff.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years post‑qualification experience and will currently be working in a private client department.
A track record of business development and the ability to demonstrate marketing skills would be advantageous. Although not essential, a candidate with their own professional connections or client following who wishes to provide an extra‑ordinary level of service and advice to their existing clients would be welcome.
