Willis Engine Repair Centre (WERC UK) is seeking an Imports/Exports Controller to join our site in Bridgend. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure the seamless global movement of aircraft engines and aviation equipment, supporting both company-owned and customer-owned assets, while maintaining strict compliance with HMRC and AEOC standards
Requirements
What You'll Do
* Lead and manage import/export operations: Oversee the effective control of aircraft engines, stands, and parts entering and leaving our Bridgend facility.
* Ensure customs compliance: Maintain full adherence to HMRC, IPR, AEOC, and bonded warehouse requirements, managing all relevant documentation and customs regimes.
* Optimize logistics performance: Coordinate international air and ground transportation, from collection through to delivery, ensuring accuracy in all documentation and cost control.
* Collaborate globally: Work closely with freight forwarders, logistics providers, internal departments and customers to guarantee smooth and compliant shipments worldwide.
Manage the bonded warehouse: Take daily responsibility for the bonded warehouse, perform audits, maintain accurate records in Quantum Logistics and ensure all personnel remain up to date with customs and safety training
What We're Looking For
* Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, HMRC compliance, and customs regimes (IPR, CFSP, End Use, Free Circulation, etc.)
* Proven experience in international logistics or transportation within an aviation, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage complex documentation and compliance reporting.
* Skilled communicator with strong coordination and problem-solving abilities.
* Confident working cross-functionally with operations, finance, and external partners.
