About the Role
We are seeking an Environmental Manager, HSQE to oversee compliance and sustainability initiatives across major civil engineering and construction projects in the South. Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and manage Environmental Management Plans.
2. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, permits, and planning conditions.
3. Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
4. Liaise with regulators and local authorities.
5. Promote sustainability efforts such as waste reduction, carbon management, and biodiversity initiatives.
6. Support BREEAM/CEEQUAL certification processes.
7. Provide environmental training and toolbox talks.
8. Lead investigations into incidents and non-conformances.
Candidate Requirements
1. A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience in environmental management within construction or civil engineering sectors.
3. Strong knowledge of UK legislation and ISO 14001 standards.
4. NEBOSH Environmental Certificate or equivalent qualification.
5. Professional memberships such as IEMA or CIWEM are desirable.
