Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to manage the administration of the Department of Social Anthropology at Cambridge, a leading centre globally in anthropological teaching and research.
Responsibilities
* The Department Administrator plans and manages the administrative support for the Department.
* Line management of the professional services team.
* Secretary to Departmental meetings.
* Learning and teaching administrative support.
* Maintaining the Department estate and facilities and managing health and safety policies and programmes.
* Human resources administration and management of the Departmental finances, with support and advice from the Faculty HR and Finance teams and the Senior Business and Operations Manager for the Faculty of HSPS.
Qualifications
* Applicants should be educated to first degree level or equivalent with significant administrative experience, preferably in a higher education environment.
* You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, the ability to work on your own initiative as well as with others, to prioritise work and manage competing deadlines.
* You will also have excellent people management skills including line management or supervisory experience.
