We’re looking for a Senior Civils Estimator to join our Natural Resources Nuclear & Networks team based in the North.
Location: Sites in Manchester and Warrington – remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 40 hours per week.

What will you be responsible for?
* Leading the estimating process within the bid or framework teams from receipt of documents to handover to the delivery teams.
* Preparation and representation of the estimate bid team meetings and final settlement of bid.
* Initiate technical queries and ensure design sufficiently developed to ensure accurate costings.
* Technical and commercial appraisal of material and subcontract quotations including selection of prospective sub-contractors.
* Use of estimating software as a basis of preparing the estimate, e.g., RIB Candy or similar software.
Your day to day will include
* Conduct detailed cost analysis for civil engineering projects.
* Collaborate with design and procurement teams to refine project scope.
* Provide accurate and timely cost estimates to support bid winning.
* Maintain and improve estimating templates and best practice guidelines.
* Support commercial team in maximizing the commercial position of Kier while securing opportunities aligned with contract objectives.
What are we looking for?
* Degree/HNC qualified in a construction or civil engineering related subject.
* Experience working as an Estimator for a major civil engineering contractor.
* Commercial awareness with a knowledge of various contract forms – NEC, ICE and IChemE.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficient with estimating software and spreadsheet analyses.
