Milk Education are seeking a dynamic, energetic, and resilient Physical Education Teacher to join a forward-thinking department in a Secondary school in South Yorkshire. The role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 PE, delivering engaging practical and theory lessons across a range of sports and fitness activities. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
2. Plan and deliver engaging practical lessons across a range of sports and physical activities
3. Teach theoretical PE content including anatomy, fitness, health, and sports studies
4. Promote physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles
5. Ensure safe practice in all practical sessions and manage risk effectively
6. Use assessment data to track progress and support student development
7. Encourage participation, resilience, and positive sporting attitudes
8. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student outcomes
9. Uphold the values and standards of Milk Education and our partner schools
Requirements:
10. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
11. Specialism in Physical Education – able to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
12. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills, including in practical settings
13. Good subject knowledge of PE theory and a range of sports
14. Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
15. Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
16. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education)
