Equans Data Centers are seeking to appoint a Project Engineer – Mechanical to support our growing Data Centre business in Newport, South Wales.
What you will deliver?
* Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards
* Assist with coordinating and controlling the on-site construction process, ensuring the site build progresses in line with plan
* Liaise with Statutory Authorities and Local Authorities as directed by the Site Manager in the submission of all Building Regulation cards as required to allow progress of the project
* Attend site meetings, effectively communicate and provide information for Progress Reports
* Chair and minute the subcontractor meetings in the absence of the Site or Project Manager
* Assist the Site Manager in the management of materials
* Record keeping (diary, drawing register, H&S, COSHH assessments, As built drawings, Levels & Foundations records, site H&S file)
* Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety requirements

Who are we looking for?
* Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor
* Proven technical knowledge of Mechanical Services
* Knowledge and skills to effectively problem solve
* Be self‑motivated, with proven organisational ability and the drive to meet deadlines
* Customer focused with ability to communicate effectively with clients
* Attention to Health and Safety matters
* Commercially astute
* Experience in the data centres sector is desirable
* Degree or equivalent in a Mechanical discipline is desirable
