We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Lunchtime Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment. This role involves supporting us during our busy lunch period, ensuring that each child receives the care and attention they need to thrive.
Experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the wider team during our busy lunch period
* Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times, both indoors and outdoors.
* Support children's social, emotional, and educational needs through positive interaction and communication.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating nursery environment.
* Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team atmosphere focused on the well-being of the children.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable.
* A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and enthusiasm when working with young children.
Hours of work
Monday to Friday all year round 11.30am to 1.30pm.
Possible extra bank hours available.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
