The Role
To set and operate perforating and CNC machines to produce high-quality perforated metal and plastic components.
My client is looking for a candidate who has experience working within a modern manufacturing environment, with a strong track record for improving processes. Experience with a variety of metals is preferred.
Duties:
1. To set and operate CNC perforating presses.
2. To work on continuous improvement projects to drive productivity, quality, and process improvements.
3. Work as a key member within the engineering team to determine optimal production routes for products to optimise cost, achievable quality/tolerances, and lead time, and supply information to sales for quotation purposes.
4. To produce quality parts at output targets.
5. To carry out checks in line with ISO 9001:2015 procedures.
6. To support the engineering team in investigating production defects and contributing to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
7. Ensure quality standards are met and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
8. To drive a continual improvement culture within the team.
9. Attend meetings and generate ideas for improvements.
10. To work collaboratively as part of a team.
The Candidate:
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment setting machines.
* Ability to work from engineering drawings.
* Ability to use measuring equipment.
* Experience using manufacturing best practices is ideal.
* Experience using a forklift would be desirable.
The Package:
The salary offered for this position is £12 to £16 per hour, plus up to 30% annual bonus for candidates who meet all key qualifications and abilities.
