Job Summary
An exciting opportunity for a friendly, positive thinking, organised and motivated individual to provide administrative support within the Trusts Hotel Services Catering, Contracts & Performance Team. The role is 37.5 hours per week.
You should be highly motivated, reliable, flexible and able to work on your own initiative and as a team player. You will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about patient care, putting patients at the heart of everything you do.
The Catering, Contracts and Performance Team is responsible for the Trusts Catering Services and also manages the contracts within Facilities as well as providing performance data reports for the department as a whole.
You must have the Right to Work in the UK to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.
Main Duties
The main responsibilities of the role include providing support to the Head of Catering, Contracts & Performance and the team. Tasks include:
* Planning and producing trust-wide menus
* Assisting in the writing of contract tenders
* Managing calendars and emails
* Organising and minuting meetings, including production distribution of KPI reports
* Maintaining action logs and in-house financial records
* Dealing with incoming phone calls and providing general administrative support
Excellent communication and customer‑care skills are essential, as is the necessity to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Business & Administration (or equivalent)
* Sound IT knowledge and experience, with competency in Microsoft Office packages
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to communicate effectively and work under pressure
* Experience of providing administrative support
Skills & Knowledge
* Ability to communicate face‑to‑face and by telephone in a helpful manner
* Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise
* Accurate keyboard, typing and word‑processing skills
* Natural aptitude with figures
* Ability to cope with routine tasks and work using own initiative without supervision

* Experience of providing admin support in contract management

Working Pattern
Full‑time, Monday to Friday 9am‑5pm, based at Acklam Road Hospital, Middlesbrough (TS5 4EE).
Salary & Benefits
Pay: £24,937 to £26,598 a year pro‑rata, per annum (Band 3). Permanent contract.
