Rotherham Museum, Arts and Heritage has a mission to 'spark imagination, curiosity, and roots through the celebration of Rotherham's people, stories, spaces and collections.' In 2023, Rotherham Museums, Arts and Heritage became an Arts Council funded National Portfolio Organisation. This funding focuses on delivering high quality programme and engagement across the service venues, collaborating with communities, artists and creative practitioners.
Rotherham Museums, Arts and Heritage are looking for an experienced Community Engagement Officer to join the team. They will become part of the Community Engagement Team and develop, implement and evaluate an outreach and engagement programme for key target audiences, including intergenerational families, global majority communities and adults over 55 including residents in care homes and older adults in community settings. We are looking for an individual with a passion for ensuring inclusive and collaborative community engagement practices.
This post is funded through the Arts Council NPO and is fixed until March 2027. There is a possibility of extension to March 2028 once the funding for this extension year has been approved by Arts Council.
Interviews are expected to take place w/c 16th March 2026 at Clifton Park Museum.
