We have three openings for this apprenticeship, which leads to a BSc Hons degree in Nursing, delivered by Kingston or London Southbank Universities. The program combines work-based learning with academic study, leading to registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
You will develop skills and knowledge to work effectively in today's healthcare environment, requiring commitment to self-study and successful completion within the contract period.

Main duties of the job
The following reflects the responsibilities of a band 5 nurse during the apprenticeship:
The Nurse will provide high-quality, holistic, community-based health services, supporting GPs and fulfilling contractual obligations with Bromley Healthcare and Clinical Commissioning Groups.
The Community Staff Nurse will be part of the Integrated Community Team or Anticipatory Care Team, responsible for delivering effective nursing care to an identified population, ensuring the patient's story is always known. They may act up for the District Nurse/Senior Community Nurse and may take charge of a caseload upon achieving relevant competencies.
Upon successful completion, you will be a band 5 registered nurse, posted according to service needs within Bromley Healthcare.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* Contribute to clinical service delivery through patient assessments, care planning, and clinical care.
* Assist with daily team coordination, including handovers, work allocation, and managing referrals.
* Develop relationships with allied health professionals and contribute to policy development.
* Manage a daily patient caseload, making autonomous decisions about care and seeking support as needed.
* Work in partnership with acute and social care when required.
* Support staff development through training and supervision.
* Implement and monitor patient pathways.
* Ensure adherence to clinical governance, policies, and professional standards.
* Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and discharge planning.

Qualifications
* GCSEs grade C/4 or above in Maths and English
* Willingness to engage in the degree apprenticeship and self-directed learning
* Completion of Nursing Associate qualification

* Current NMC Registration for Nursing Associate
