Job Description:
* Seeking a BiomedicalSoftware Engineer for a longterm contract opportunity with arenowned medical research consortium.
* Therole will be located onsite in the Bay Area candidates must bewilling to work onsite 4 days weekly to start 23 days weekly oncefully trained.
* The Biomedical SoftwareEngineer is responsible for executing several concurrent highvisibility projects in a highvolume clinical laboratory environmentthat may cross multiple business divisions and clinical testingmethodologies with the goal of improving the quality andeffectiveness of patient care testing.
Responsibilities:
* Work with medical professionals such as other scientistschemists and engineers on staff to develop lean clinical testingworkflows
* Evaluate test design and integrateinto laboratory processes new clinical laboratory technologiesproducts and software (chemistry analyzers liquid handlers pre andpostanalytical laboratory automation systems middleware softwaresystems). Ensure successful completion of system integrationtesting and validation.
* Leverage medicalinformatics statistics and data analysis tools in support ofcomplex medical decisions.
Qualifications:
* A Bachelors degree MS preferred in Biomedical or relatedengineering discipline (Bioengineering Mechanical ChemicalEngineering) or Computer Science with emphasis on Bioinformatics isa necessity. Strong foundation in engineering principles(mechatronics and biomedical systems) software development andexcellent problemsolving skills.
* Minimum 10years experience with systems integration engineering orinformatics discipline. Direct experience in a clinical laboratoryIVD or related healthcare environment considered a plus.
* Proven experience with Microsoft .NET or related softwaredevelopment technologies.
* Able to identify andcompile system requirements from discussion with businessrepresentatives and endusers.
* Familiar withAutoCAD Visio or similar CAD tools to generate facility equipmentand work center layouts to analyze and communicate space planningrelationships and constraints.
