Job Summary
Store Managers are accountable for every aspect of the retail store operations, ensuring engagement, performance, and a world‑class guest experience. Store Managers build team capabilities to drive strategy and achieve key results for the business. This role is responsible for the talent acquisition strategy and ongoing people development within their community.
Responsibilities
* Leadership and People Management: Create and foster an inclusive team environment and culture, establish a vision for the store based on key metrics, build a strong and diverse team, manage hiring with a focus on IDEA and lululemon priorities, support ongoing learning and development, conduct career discussions, provide recognition and performance documentation, plan and prepare team schedules, and address employee relations issues in collaboration with the People & Culture team.
* Working With Others: Establish supportive relationships with team members and collaborate to ensure an optimal guest experience and smooth store operations.
* Guest Experience: Support team members to deliver a great guest experience, provide technical product education, support in-store transactions and omnichannel programs, move on the floor to meet business needs, and address emergent issues and guest escalations.
* Operations: Manage store profit and loss in line with goals, plan quarterly and annual store strategy, budget and labor planning, ensure efficient floor coverage, and adhere to safety policies and applicable laws and procedures.
* Budget Responsibility: Account for controllable budget, labor hours, and annual sales plan targets.
* People Management: Lead the store team (may delegate some management aspects) and support development and performance management.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the store is located; must be 18 years of age or older; must provide proof of Right to Work and comply with local requirements (EMEA only).
* Availability: Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Other Requirements: Ability to travel to the assigned store with own transportation; willingness to work as part of a team and independently; able to work in an environment with bright lights and loud music; able to move through a store during shifts and lift up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg).
* Experience: 1 year of people management experience.
* Education and Nice‑to‑Have: High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 2 years of retail or sales management experience is preferred.
