About the Role:
We're looking for a Junior Image Retoucher to join our talented creative team on a full-time or part-time basis.
In this role, you'll work on a diverse range of imagery for magazines, print, digital, and a full range of commercial applications for high-profile international clients. Day-to-day tasks will include retouching, colour matching, and pre-press adjustments to ensure every image meets our exceptional standards.
Collaborating closely with our New York office, you will be contributing to major projects including high-end jewellery retouching for a renowned New York Jewellers and colour correction for one of the largest publishers in the world.
This is a fast-paced position that requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You'll need to be adaptable, organised, and ready to switch between tasks while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform high-quality image retouching and colour correction for a variety of media outputs.
* Prepare and adjust imagery for print, ensuring colour accuracy and consistency.
* Maintain organised file structures and follow established production workflows.
* Collaborate closely with the retouching team in the UK and US.
* Manage multiple deadlines and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
* Respond constructively to client feedback to ensure client satisfaction
Essential Skills & Attributes:
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to precision.
* Strong organisational skills, especially in file management and file structure
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (knowledge of other Adobe Creative Suite tools is an advantage).
* Some existing photography experience and/or product and model retouching.
* Good communication skills in a collaborative team environment
* Open to constructive feedback from clients and team, and ability to adapt to ensure a successful outcome
Bonus Skills (Not Required, but an Advantage):
* Background in photography or particular interest in Images/print
* Experience retouching high-end product photography and/or jewellery.
* Familiarity with Capture One and RAW file processing.
* Understanding of print production processes.
Additional Information
* This is an in-person role based at our Newquay studio
* A valid UK driver's licence is preferred.
* Employment subject to review after probation period
* Starting date to be confirmed
