Responsibilities
1. Ensuring the company is compliant and up to date with all relevant legislation and regulations.
2. Ensure the company remain compliant to ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015.
3. Lead and provide advice on any health & safety improvements to ensure the safety of all personnel and visitors.
4. Conduct audits throughout the group in line with current accreditations.
5. Conduct toolbox talks throughout the group.
6. Conduct health & safety awareness training when required.
7. Host external accreditation audits.
8. Conduct safety inspections throughout the group.
9. Coordinating risk assessments and ensuring they are current and effective within all departments.
10. Monitor the accident and incident system and make improvements if needed.
11. Continue to improve the health & safety within the company.
12. Control and investigate any Health & Safety claims or complaints.
13. Provide regular updates to top management of any key improvements and issues.
14. Travelling between sites within the WEC Group will be required.
15. Any other health & safety related duties as and when required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
16. Qualified to NEBOSH as a minimum.
17. Knowledge of CDM requirements is beneficial.
18. Excellent communication skills.
19. Ability to lead improvements.
20. Must have held a similar position previously.
21. Previous health & safety experience within an engineering environment is beneficial.
22. A high level of IT skills, including Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
23. A full UK driving licence.
