Lead Technical Asset Manager – UK
Overview
Expanding our Technical Asset Management Team, we seek an experienced leader to manage a team of Technical Asset Managers (TAM) and Regional Site Managers (RSM) across a portfolio of wind farms. The role involves ensuring the delivery of contracted services, driving performance metrics, and maintaining compliance with UK HSE and industry regulations.
Responsibilities
* Guide and manage the TAM and RSM teams to meet contractual deadlines and wind farm demands.
* Own the allocated group of wind farms and ensure successful delivery of the contracted scope of services.
* Set and report wind KPIs to the Senior Operations Manager and monitor departmental performance.
* Act as the escalation point for client issues, organise regular update calls, and produce monthly reports.
* Participate in the adoption and integration of new projects into operations.
* Support identification, selection and management of local companies to undertake works with the Senior Operations Manager.
* Ensure works are organised to maximise performance and safe operation of the plant.
* Ensure activities are carried out under the approved UK HSE system and comply with industry rules and regulations, including WTSR and CDM.
* Lead on contractual/commercial matters with O+M providers, including verification of availability reports.
* Assist with regulatory issues on behalf of the client, such as communication with local authorities.
* Participate in and verify routine HSQE and technical audits of wind sites and operations.
* Plan team members’ tasks efficiently and cost‑effectively.
Qualifications
* Engineering background or a relevant discipline with a proven track record in Project Management.
* Excellent line‑management skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
* Demonstrable experience in understanding and managing contracts.
* Knowledge of wind turbine technology, operations, and SCADA systems.
* Strong analytical skills for technical data analysis.
* Organised, proactive, able to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, with influence and negotiation skills at various levels.
* Proficient IT skills.
* Valid driving licence.
* Knowledge of HV systems and UK grid requirements, programming for technical data analysis, and relevant safety qualifications (IOSH or NEBOSH) is desirable.
* Project Management qualification desirable.
* Willingness to travel across the UK.
