Overview
Advance Practitioner role at Montgomery Medical Practice. We are looking for an experienced, professional and caring individual who demonstrates highly developed clinical skills with ACP qualifications. The candidate should have clinical skills in general practice or urgent care, be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, confident in clinical decision making and able to deliver a high standard of safe clinical care. The role includes independent prescribing and making referrals for investigations as appropriate.
Main duties
* Independently assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of presentations
* Provide safe, evidence-based treatment and prescribing
* Support same-day access and triage where appropriate
* Work closely with GPs and the wider MDT to ensure seamless patient care
* Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement
About us
Montgomery Medical Practice is a rural, dispensing GP Practice with around 8,100 patients situated on the border of Montgomeryshire/Shropshire. Despite its idyllic rural location, Montgomery is within a short (30 minute) drive of Shrewsbury and an hour and a half from Birmingham. We have a multidisciplinary team that includes Physician Associates, Nurse Prescriber, Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants.
We are a training practice. We use EMIS Web clinical system and Accurx.

Person Specification
Experience
* Clinical assessment skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Primary care experience
* Ability to record accurate clinical notes
* Ability to work within own scope of practice and understanding of when to refer to GPs
* Ability to effectively triage, assess and diagnose
* Requesting pathology tests and processing the results, advising patients accordingly
* Understands the importance of evidence-based practice
* Broad knowledge of clinical governance
Qualifications
* Registered ANP or ACP
* Registration with appropriate professional body
* Master\'s degree level in relevant area of expertise
