About the role: The main purpose of this role is to ensure the effective running of the Palletnetworks operation, overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of products. You will manage people, processes, and systems to meet productivity targets and maintain administration and driver planning systems.
Responsibilities
* Customer Service: Manage planning and coordination to meet business needs. Communicate service-related issues to customers and provide accurate information for customers and the operational team to inform decisions.
* People Management: Allocate workload, recruit new team members, and lead, motivate, and inspire the team to achieve performance goals. Include performance management, coaching, and training.
* Communication: Ensure effective communication with internal and external customers, suppliers, and operational teams. Attend meetings and provide feedback to your teams.
About you / Qualifications
* At least 2 years of proven experience in a transportation or distribution management role.
* Mature, professional approach with the confidence to communicate with all levels of people.
* Strong influencing skills, excellent numerical skills, and a sound understanding of budget management.
* PC literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint, and transport IT/web-based systems.
* Ability to think quickly and make confident decisions.
* Candidates with experience of Pallet networks Deputy Manager, Transport Manager, Distribution Manager, Operations Manager, Logistics Manager, or Depot Manager may be considered.
