The role involves progressing your engineering career within Allianz Engineering Inspection Services, visiting client sites to carry out inspections and assess a wide range of plant, equipment, and installations. Newly recruited Engineer Surveyors are enrolled onto Allianz’s induction training programme.
Responsibilities
* Anticipate client needs and help ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
* Work closely with the Engineer Surveyor Team managed by a Senior Operations Team Leader.
* Prepare examination reports following inspections using electronic reporting for fast and efficient delivery to clients.
* Carry out hands-on inspections of lifts, material handling equipment, cranes, and construction plant.
* Operate in potentially demanding environments (heights, confined spaces, varying temperatures, noise, dust) as part of hands-on inspection work.
Qualifications & Skills
* Open to candidates with a strong background in lifts, cranes or materials handling equipment; hands-on experience in manufacturing, repair or maintenance is desirable.
* Up-to-date knowledge of compliance and regulatory rules related to the Lift and Crane discipline.
* Strong decision-making abilities and the capacity to plan short, medium, and long-term activities; ability to travel within a local work area.
* Excellent documentation skills and the ability to process administrative tasks efficiently.
* Willingness to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors as required.
* Passionate about engineering with the ability to interact with diverse clients daily.
* Full UK driving licence; comfortable using tablets and smartphones as part of daily work.
Essential Skills
* NVQ Level 3 or above in a mechanical-related subject.
* Full valid UK driving licence.
* Strong time management and self-organisation to manage weekly work load.
* Comfortable using mobile devices as essential tools for the role.
Desirable Skills
* Incorporated Engineer (desirable).
