Post Title: Apprentice Electrician
Location: Dingwall
Hours: 37 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £24,242 - £26,216 p.a.
Year 1 and Year 2 - Living Wage rate (£24,242 p.a.)
Year 3 - 85% of HC05 (£24,759 p.a.)
Year 4 - 90% of HC05 (£26,216 p.a.)
Full trade rate: £29,129 - £31,899 p.a.

Job Purpose
To install and maintain a wide range of electrical works including Street Lighting, Floodlighting, Illuminated signs, Traffic Signals, Navigational Aids, Depots, and Offices.
Apprentices will learn basic skills and will be given opportunities to gain responsibility and practical experience.
Responsibilities
* Repair and maintain Street Lighting, Floodlighting, Illuminated signs, Traffic Signals, Navigational Aids, Depots, and Offices under guidance, instruction, and training.

Requirements
* Minimum of 1 National 4 Qualification
* A current full driving licence is essential
Training
During the apprenticeship, candidates will undertake the SVQ 3 in Electrical Installation, SCQF Level 7. This is a 4-year Modern Apprenticeship program. Candidates must be willing to undertake self-study.
