This is a pivotal role for someone with deep expertise in transport and logistics, ideally gained in a unionised environment within the FMCG or retail sector. You’ll be responsible for driving operational excellence, managing complex transport networks, and leading teams with confidence and clarity. The main purpose of the role is to assist the General Manager in the overall development, performance, and maintenance of site operational activities to obtain maximum efficiency, quality, service, and profitability. You will also play a key role in supporting leadership, contributing to the development and implementation of a transformation programme, and providing light-touch day-to-day operational management.
