Senior Quantity Surveyor - Commercial & Industrial Groundworks Chester - £55,000 - £65,000 package About the Company A highly regarded construction contractor delivering commercial and industrial groundworks and civil engineering projects across the North West. The business has a strong reputation for technical expertise, safe delivery and long-term client relationships, supported by a robust and growing order book. The Role An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a key commercial role within the business. You will lead the commercial management of major groundworks projects, mentor junior team members and work closely with senior management to drive profitability and performance. As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for: Full commercial responsibility for commercial & industrial groundworks projects Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts and cost reports Leading subcontract procurement, negotiations and account management Managing valuations, variations and final accounts Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities Supporting and mentoring Quantity Surveyors and junior staff Working closely with operational and senior management teams The Ideal Candidate The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have: Strong experience in a Senior QS role within groundworks, civils or infrastructure Proven track record delivering commercial and/or industrial projects Excellent knowledge of cost control, subcontract management and contracts Confident communication and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload effectively Relevant construction or commercial qualification (preferred) What's on Offer Salary of £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience Attractive package including benefits Senior role within a stable, growing contractor Clear progression and influence at management level Long-term secured work and varied project exposure Apply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.
