Position Overview
As a Solicitor, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal services to a diverse range of clients in the area of contentious probate. You will manage a complex caseload, mentor junior team members, and support the head of department and partners in delivering exceptional client service.
Responsibilities
1. Proactively manage a complex litigation caseload with limited supervision
2. Provide high-quality legal advice and manage client relationships effectively
3. Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development
4. Act for both claimants and defendants, from initial instructions to dispute resolution
5. Advise clients on funding options, procedure, and alternative dispute resolution processes
6. Liaise with appropriate experts and counsel and undertake advocacy at interlocutory stages
7. Contribute to the firm's knowledge bank and stay updated with developments in litigation law
Requirements
8. 2 years PQE in litigation
9. Strong understanding of litigation law and processes
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
11. Ability to manage a complex caseload with limited supervision
12. Experience in mentoring and supporting junior team members
13. Strong organisational and time management skills
14. Experience in advocacy and liaising with experts and counsel
