The role
Job Description
Exciting opportunity Aerospace Paint Sprayer to prepare, mask, and paint aircraft structural and composite components including wings, doors, radomes, fairings, and other airframe parts. The successful candidate will ensure all work is completed to aerospace quality, safety, and OEM standards.
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: On-going
Payment type: PAYE or LTD Payment
Working Days: Monday - Friday
Working Hours: Mon - Thu (7:30 - 4:30), Friday (7:30 - 3:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, filling, and degreasing.
- Mask and demask complex aircraft assemblies.
- Mix and apply primers, base coats, and topcoats using spray equipment.
- Inspect finishes for quality, colour match, thickness, and defects.
- Carry out touch-ups and rework as required.
- Follow aviation safety procedures, FOD control, and environmental regulations.
- Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams.
Requirements
- Experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, or industrial spray painting.
- Knowledge of aerospace coating systems, surface preparation, and masking techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Desirable
- Aircraft structure or composite experience.
- Knowledge of corrosion prevention and aerospace quality standards.
- Spray painting certification or relevant vocational training.
