Job Description Purpose of the role To establish and nurture profitable partnerships with corporate clients. It's the bridge between the bank's offerings and clients' needs, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term success. Accountabilities Management of client relationships to identify the clients financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance to support the analysis of data obtained from various sources, including the investment portfolio and cash flow, to identify trends, insights, areas for improvement and additional services to support client needs. Research and understanding of the client's industry trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations. Design of customised solutions that address the client's specific needs and objectives, incorporating a range of products and services from the bank's portfolio. Communication of the value proposition of proposed solutions, justification of recommendations, and negotiation of terms that are beneficial for both the client and the bank. Provision of guidance to clients to support their financial decisions, risk management and wealth management strategies and updates on market trends to ensure a positive and continuous relationship. Assessment of financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships, and implementation of measures to minimise potential losses. Documentation of all client interactions, transactions, and agreements to ensure transparency and auditability, and communicate findings effectively to support product development, service offerings, and the overall bank strategy. Monitoring of client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management efforts. Execution of market research and analysis to support the identification of potential new opportunities, market trends, and customer needs, to develop strategies for business growth. Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues. Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda. Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done. Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function. Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy. Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively. Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience. Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes. Join us as an Associate Director – Corporate Banking, Real Estate, where you will play a pivotal role supporting a portfolio of Real Estate clients within our Corporate Banking franchise. Working closely with Corporate Bankers and product specialists, you will help grow and manage client relationships through high‑quality sales support, rigorous deal execution, and the delivery of tailored lending and banking solutions. The platform is known for its deep client relationships, sector expertise, and disciplined, high‑performance culture. As a core member of the deal team, you will support complex transactions end to end, combining sound commercial judgement with disciplined credit, risk, and conduct standards. You will contribute to robust client account planning, assist with new business origination and onboarding, attend and lead client meetings where appropriate, and build effective internal networks across product, credit, and risk teams. Over time, you will increasingly deputise for the Bankers you support, acting as a trusted point of contact for clients and colleagues, while developing the skills and experience required to progress towards a full Corporate Banker role. To be successful in this role you will have: Proven experience supporting complex transactions and client relationships within a corporate or commercial banking environment. Effective communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior clients and internal stakeholders. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against tight deadlines. Well‑developed stakeholder management capability and the ability to build effective internal and external networks. Sound commercial awareness and a client‑centric approach to identifying and delivering growth opportunities. An active approach to professional development, with clear motivation to progress towards a full Corporate Banker role. Desirable skills include: Knowledge of Corporate and Real Estate banking products, services, and policies. Understanding of complex debt structures and real estate financing solutions. Experience supporting credit submissions, including income, RWA, pricing, and capital considerations. Familiarity with conduct risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Experience using pricing tools for both lending and transactional products. High‑quality presentation and client materials capability, including PowerPoint and pitch content. You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant to success in the role, including risk and controls, business acumen, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and job‑specific technical capability. This role is based in London.
