Description About the Role Based at our Penrith site, Civilmart is seeking two (2) Production Team Leaders, with one position having a stronger focus on Quality, GMP compliance and product standards. The Production Team Leader is responsible for leading and supporting production employees to ensure the safe, timely and accurate manufacture of concrete products that meet customer, quality and operational standards. Key Responsibilities Lead daily toolbox talks addressing safety, production planning, quality and maintenance matters Ensure all team members are fit for duty and comply with OHSE, GMP and Safe Work Instructions (SWIMs) Monitor pre ‑ operational equipment checks and ensure safe, efficient operation of plant and machinery Actively promote safe work practices, correct manual handling techniques and consistent use of PPE Maintain high standards of housekeeping across all production areas Oversee mould assembly, stripping, lubrication, vibration processes and basic product repairs where competent Verify completion of in ‑ process quality checks, identify non ‑ conformances and support corrective actions Lead by example through professional conduct, strong work ethic and hands ‑ on involvement Provide on ‑ the ‑ job training, coaching and mentoring to new and existing team members Monitor production targets, labour efficiency and plant utilisation Report production, quality or plant issues to the Production Manager/Supervisor in a timely manner Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, output and cost performance Skills And Experiences Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Essential Valid forklift licence (desired, not mandatory) Experience working in a concrete manufacturing or heavy industrial environment Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a production setting Strong understanding of OHSE principles and safe work practices Ability to read and interpret basic technical or product drawings Experience conducting or overseeing in ‑ process quality checks High work ethic with a hands ‑ on, practical and action ‑ orientated approach Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Ability to coach, direct and motivate teams respectfully and professionally Desirable – for the Quality ‑ Focused Production Team Leader position Strong experience in quality assurance, GMP compliance or quality leadership within a manufacturing environment Experience identifying, investigating and supporting corrective actions for non ‑ conforming products Demonstrated ability to drive consistent quality standards and continuous improvement outcomes Additional Requirements Must hold valid working rights in Australia Ability to pass a pre ‑ employment medical assessment, including Drug & Alcohol screening What Civilmart Can Offer You Above Award pay rates Secure and stable long ‑ term employment Supportive, approachable and experienced leadership team Employee Assistance Program (EAP) All required tools and equipment provided Flare benefits and shopping discounts with major retailers and supermarkets
